I believe that envious people have no place in this world because they usually bruit unpleasant things to those successful ones. This time, however, I must admit that I am envious. Envious of Mr. Renato Constantino (RC to his friends) when he managed to express his wrath in front of Speaker Jose de Venecia. Constantino's anger and reaction to Speaker de Venecia only emphatically exemplified the feelings of many Filipinos who understood that Constituent Assembly, popularly known as Con-Ass, is nothing but an organized effort of con artists led by de Venecia who want to establish themselves in power.
Just to give you a brief background of what I am talking about: Last Saturday (December 9) Constantino suddenly gained entry during a news conference on Con-Ass in Dusit Hotel in Makati City. Armed with enough courage and fortitude, Constantino verbally attacked de Venecia and likened him and the rest of the House of Represenatives to a "serial rapist."
It is nauseating to witness that while Mr. Constantino was busy minding his business, Vic Agustin of the Philippine Daily Inquirer suddenly appeared from nowhere and splashed a glass of water on RC's face, which reminds of an old movie of Sharon Cuneta and Cherie Gil uttering these words: "you're nothing but a second-rate, trying hard copycat."
This event only leads me to believe that politics and show biz are two inseparable creatures these days...
